When I say retail, I’m talking like cashier of a retail store. Everyone and I mean everyone needs the experiences that come with being a retail cashier. First of all, it’s a good place to start. If you ask me, everyones first job should be retail. Not fast food, not whatever other kinds of jobs that teenagers can get, but retail. My first job was working for Kroger and while I may not have necessarily enjoyed it, I’m really glad that I worked there. After working there I was much better at talking to people, I got better at dealing with annoying people, I got super good at scanning shit. If nothing else, it really does give you better people skills and that alone is worth it. It also can show what kind of person you are. The way you deal with common retail situations like someone digging through their pockets for change, someone trying to give you like a hundred coupons, or someone threatening to go to another store (as if you would even care). The way you deal with things like that really can show your true colors. I don’t have a good way to end this post so it’s just kinda gonna end….

I am ugly and proud. I say cheesy things quite often. I don't get offended at things aren't offensive. I don't create controversy where there is none. I like to see the good in people. Sometimes it is hard to see the good in people, but if that's something you can't do, then you aren't living the life you should be living. View all posts by Caleb Kee
